Back after a Break

After travelling with work for a couple of weeks it was back out for the weekend. On Saturday I managed to get a quick session in at Mickley Hall Shooting School to try and get my eye in before shooting the registered comps on Sunday.

The first shoot was at Orston Shooting ground and I think the combination of the wind, bright sunshine and jet lag caught up with me. I managed a 74 which although wasn’t a terrible score I was hoping for a little more.

The second shoot was at Garlands Shooting ground and the rumours were there was going to be some stiff targets and a few novel targets as well. I wasn’t disappointed and managed to get off to a good start. With a few targets dropped towards the end I finished on 85 and considering the weather and the targets I was very pleased with the result. It also means that the weekend also moves my average a little closed to moving up to A class.

The next two weeks will be spent trying to prepare for the 1st Cheshire selection shoot of the year at Doveridge Shooting Ground, so it will be practise, practise, practise.
